In 2019, Sally Platts took over ownership of Tigga’s. With the help of Lucy Dickinson they are running the saddlery and mobile shop as the new happy-team-of-two. So, under their care and expertise Tigga’s ethos lives on.
Sally and Lucy have both been keen horsewomen and owners for many years. In addition, Sally brings an extensive retail knowledge and Lucy her experience of running professional yards. They therefore aim to provide you with honest advice on the products they sell together with friendly, approachable customer service.
As they live, breath, sweat (perspire!) and get wet alongside you at Events they enjoy bumping into familiar faces. Including hearing customers’ news and following their progress. Generally, being part of the renowned camaraderie of the Eventing sport. Tigga’s continue to value the loyalty built-up over the years is valued and remain at the end of the phone to help where they can.
From their base in Rutland, Tigga’s Saddlery mobile equestrian shop covers horse trials from Sussex (South of England), Hampshire (Wellington Equestrian) and Wiltshire (Barbury Horse Trials) in the South to Northumberland (Burgham) and Yorkshire (Bramham and Allerton Park) in the North. Then from Norfolk (Houghton, Burnham Market & Great Witchingham) & Essex in the East and all the wonderful Events down the centre of the Country including Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Warwickshire, Berkshire. Overall, they feel lucky to work in some of the best ‘offices’ (even on a rainy day!) and being an integral part of the Eventing season.
After listening to their customers and to enable them to support riders throughout the year Tigga’s opened this on-line shop for some of their key products. Thereby also enabling Tigga’s to offer a “click and collect” service for the Events that they we will be attending. So customers know before the day that the equestrian product they need will be ready and waiting for them at the competition.
